Scott Weiss of Ventura, California, is a frequent visitor to the Big Island. Scott is a CPA, Real Estate Broker, and partner in an entertainment company. As a trumpet player he has been performing for 36 years in brass quintets, jazz ensembles, concert bands, and orchestras. He has performed with a variety of university bands, including UC Santa Barbara, CSU Chico, Ventura Community College, and for the past 19 years he has been the principal trumpet for the Ojai Summer Band.

   Scott also serves as a guest conductor for community musical groups, and as a substitute teacher for music in Ventura and Oxnard, California. As a filmmaker, Scott has produced several musical documentary DVD’s on trumpet players, and he has filmed many of the top trumpet players in the world. Scott is the founder and executive director of the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization Music 4 Kids. Music 4 Kids provides free music lessons at the local Boys and Girls Club in Ventura County, California.
